The Revelation

Our founder's shearling leather jacket, a cherished piece worn for over a decade - finally needed replacing. The search for an equal replacement proved impossible. Modern jackets, despite premium pricing, lacked the substance, quality, and craftsmanship of decades past. That frustration sparked a question: Why has leather quality declined when technique and knowledge have only improved?

The Research

Two years of intensive research followed—visiting tanneries across Europe, studying traditional construction methods, interviewing master leather craftsmen, and understanding why quality had eroded. The answer was clear: fast fashion economics had infiltrated premium markets, prioritizing speed and margins over excellence.

The Birth of Rove

In response to that, Rove Leather was born. Not as another fashion brand, but as a deliberate rebellion against declining standards.
